Chef Biography

George Bozko was born 1958 in Passaic, New Jersey of Belorussian heritage.  Following schooling, he attended and graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York City in 1985 and apprenticed in the Parker Meridian until 1987.  As he advanced up the kitchen ladder at a Loew’s Hotel in New Jersey and Arizona 206, he was appointed pastry chef in 1991 by Great Chef Terrance Brennan at Prixe Fixe in New York City.

In 1992, Great Chef Everett Reid brought Chef Bozko to Nantucket, Massachusetts as pastry chef of his American Seasons.  Later that year, the Great Chefs television team showed up at American Seasons to tape Chef Bozko for the Discovery Channel’s Great Chefs of the East (episode # 26).

Linda and Everett Reid sold American Seasons, then opened L & E Restaurant, and more recently the Good Elephant Bistro in Chester, Connecticut, bringing their staff with them, where they remain today, in 2016.
