Café Brûlot
Ingredients
- Sugar Cubes - 15
- Cinnamon - 2 sticks
- Cloves - 10 whole
- Peel of 1/2 lemon
- Peel of 1/2 orange
- Brandy - 1 cup
- Hot black, strong, coffee - 6 cups
Instructions
In a silver punch bowl, combine the sugar cubes, cinnamon stick, cloves, lemon peel, orange peel, and 3/4 cup brandy. Fill a metal ladle with 1/4 cup heated (not boiling) brandy, ignite, and lower into the bowl. Lift the flaming mixture with the ladle several times and ladle it back into the bowl, until the sugar is melted. Slowly pour the coffee into the bowl. Serve in demitasse cups.
