Chef Biography

Bruce and Susan Molzan were restaurant management graduates from James Madison University in Virginia.  Bruce went on to the Culinary Institute and Susan managed the food service at Neiman-Marcus in Dallas.  Chef Bruce later took a position at the Houston Hyatt and the Warwick Post Oak before becoming part owners of Ruggles Grill in Houston.  In 1987 they emerged as sole proprietors.

In 1994, Great Chefs showed up at Ruggles to tape several dishes of Chef Bruce for their Great Chefs – Great Cities series.

The Molzans went on to open multiple restaurants connected with the Ruggles Grill, and in 2012 opened the Corner Table in the River Oaks subdivision of Houston.  After leaving the Corner Table in 2014, the current information that we have, is that he is preparing to open a Baby Ruggles in Houston and is currently operating Ruggles Black in Houston.  Stay tuned….
