Chef Biography
Manuel Garcia is from southern California and graduated from the CIA in St. Helena, California. After his apprenticeship, he started at The Lodge at Pebble Beach. After working his way up the kitchen ladder, he moved to Hawaii in 1994, to work under Chef Judith Capertina at the St. Regis Princeville Hotel in Kauai.
When Great Chef Daniel Delbrel became the executive chef at the Princeville Hotel, he elevated Chef Manuel Garcia to pastry cook. In September of 1994, the Great Chefs television team showed up to tape Chef Garcia for their Great Chefs of Hawaii television series (episode #7).
