Chef Biography

Minh Duong came to the USA after escaping from her native Vietnam in 1975.

She learned pastry studying under Chef Ed Patin of Maison Patisserie in New Orleans. Her attention to details, and specializing in sugar work, caught the attention of management at the famed Monteleone Hotel in New Orleans French Quarter. She has been the Chef of Pastry at the hotel ever since 1999, when Great Chefs taped her to be featured in our Great Chefs of America series (episodes 141, 147, & 159).
