Chef Biography

Rebecca Naccarato was raised on a wheat ranch in Walla Walla, Washington where “What’s for dessert?” was always the question of the day.  Following school, she and her former husband, Great Chef Gordon Naccarato, met at Michael McCarty’s restaurant in Santa Monica, called Michael’s, where Gordon was working the line and Rebecca was in the pastry shop.

In 1984, Chef Rebecca and her husband chef left Los Angeles and moved to open their own restaurant called Gordon’s in Aspen, Colorado.  The following year, in 1985, the Great Chefs television  crew showed up to tape Chef Rebecca for the Discovery Channel’s new Great Chefs series, Great Chefs of the West, where she appeared in episode # 10.

Later, in 1990, the couple divorced and closed the restaurant, and Chef Rebecca moved to Seattle to open her own pastry shop with her brother, called Dessert Works where she remains today in 2016.
