Chef Biography

Rodney Weddle was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Following school, he moved to Honolulu to work under Great Chef Gale O’Malley in the pastry kitchens of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu. As he worked his way up the kitchen ladder at the Hilton, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua contacted him in 1992 regarding their pastry chef position, which he accepted.

Two years later, the Great Chefs television team showed up to tape Chef Weddle at the Ritz-Carlton for their Great Chefs of Hawaii television series. Chef Weddle left the Ritz-Carlton in 2011 to become a partner and executive chef of La Tour Bakehouse in Honolulu, where he remains today.
