Chef Biography
Born and raised on the Caribbean island of Antigua, Rolston Hector began his career as an assistant pastry cook at the Jolly Beach Resort in 1982.
Two years later in 1984, he joined the St. James Club as pastry cook, then moved up the ladder to supervisor of the pastry department, and then as assistant pastry chef in 1988. He attended the Culinary Institute where he completed several courses in baking and decorations, returning to Antigua to become the executive pastry chef in the early 1990’s.
Great Chefs showed up in the late 1990’s to tape Chef Hector for their Great Chefs of the Caribbean series.
