Florida Strawberry Napoleon
- Crispy Phyllo
- Frozen Phyllo - 4 sheets
- Butter - 4 tablespoons, melted
- Sugar - 4 tablespoons
- Mascarpone Cream
- Mascarpone Cream - 1/2 cup
- Sour Cream - 1/2 cup
- Oranges - 2, zest of both, juice of one
- Lime - 1, zest only
- Vanilla Extract - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Strawberries - 2 pints
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Balsamic Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Lay out a sheet of the phyllo over a dry surface. Brush the phyllo with butter and sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar evenly over the whole surface. Repeat the process until you have the four layers complete. Place the phyllo on a sheet pan and cut the desired shapes you have in mind, then press another sheet pan on top. Bake the phyllo for 10 minutes in a 350-degree oven. Remove the phyllo and store covered at room temperature.
Mix all the ingredients together and chill them overnight.
Wash and trim the strawberries. Quarter them and mix together with the sugar and balsamic.
Place a spoon of the cream on each plate. Put a spoon of strawberries on the cream, and then a piece of crispy phyllo. Keep alternating until the ingredients have all been used.
