Grilled Stuffed Tomatoes
This is a delicious way to serve fresh tomatoes! They are cut open and stuffed, then grilled, adding a smoky flavor to the tomatoes. Not your average slices at the side of the plate!
- Tomatoes - 6 medium
- Seasoning Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Seasoning Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Pinch of cayenne
- Dash of hot sauce
- Russian dressing - 1/3 cup
- Italian bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
Serrate the tops of the tomatoes. Remove the tops. Scoop out the pulp and place in a mixing bowl; set aside the scooped-out tomato “cups.” Add remaining ingredients to the tomato pulp and mix together. Add more bread crumbs if the stuffing is too wet. Fill the tomato cups with the stuffing. Cook over a medium-hot grill for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the tomatoes are cooked and the stuffing is heated through.
