Chef Biography
Gerard Kaleohano was born and raised in Hawaii, and in 1975 started working up the kitchen ladder in Hawaiian hotels and restaurants, cooking with other Hawaiian chefs like Sam Choy, Bev Gannon and Alan Wong.
In 1990 he was appointed executive chef de cuisine for the Mid-Pacific Country Club. Five years later in 1995, the Great Chefs television team showed up at the Mid-Pacific to tape Chef Gerard for the Discovery Channel’s Great Chefs of Hawaii and also their Great Chefs of the World series.
