This is our third stay at the Villa des Great Chefs. Every stay has been excellent, which keeps us coming back. The property is on a secluded mountaintop ridge overlooking Christiansted to the west and Green Cay National Wildlife Refuge and the Carribean to the north. The house is well appointed with all the amenities of home. As one would expect of a property owned by Great Chefs Media, the kitchen is fully equipped; however, we invariably found ourselves driving down the mountain to sample the large selection of excellent restaurants within a short drive. While there is much to explore on St. Croix, we have frequently spent our days lounging in the pool, which overlooks the ocean, or napping in the adjoining cabana under the lazy fan. In the evening we enjoy the sunsets across the bay. At night one can see the lights of St. Thomas and St. John as well as an explosion of stars. Being on the mountaintop, there is a near constant gentle sea breeze so that the air conditioner is unnecessary. This is the place if your idea of vacation is a place to relax and recharge.
