Great Chefs Southwest Tastes E-Book
Great Chefs Southwest Tastes – Ebook
$5.99
We do a lot of southwestern cooking, and over the past ten years or so this has been the cookbook we come back to again and again. This book collects recipes from both well-known chefs (such as Mark Miller of Coyote Cafe) and regional home cooks. It has a lot of traditional southwestern (and southern) recipes, and also some more modern treatments that you would find in more innovative restaurants around Dallas, Sante Fe, or Scottsdale. The recipes are generally well written. They range from easy to moderate in difficulty. Some of the pictures of the food are wonderful.

Description
Based on the mouth-watering recipes featured in the popular PBS series The Great Chefs, here is the beginning of a terrific new cookbook series. The Great Chefs series has been running for years on The Discovery Channel and PBS stations across the country. A series of self-published paperbacks, organized by region, has sold more than one million copies through TV sales alone. Now, for the first time, the Great Chefs cookbooks will be available in bookstores — but with several important differences. The first, major difference is that these new cookbooks are organized by cuisine. Second, they’re packaged in a handy paper-over-board format, with page layouts that are spacious and easy-to-follow. And last, the low price will attract even those who aren’t familiar with the show. Each book contains more than 150 recipes, all easily prepared at home. There are also profiles of the chefs, and special tips that will help the home chef cook like a pro. Great Chefs Cook American is a wonderful collection of standard American favorites (corn fritters, New England clam chowder) and more exotic recipes from American chefs (New Orleans barbecued shrimp, jerk chicken). Great Chefs Cook Italian blends traditional Italian cuisine with Italian-inspired recipes with an American flair. Featured dishes include ravioli with basil sauce, osso bucco, and shiitake mushroom risotto. Together, they are a fabulous start to an exciting new series.
